Anja Gockel’s show tried to combine a feminist demonstration with motives from Alice in Wonderland (“Vote for Alice”). Quite a leap, though, beware of kitsch.
Gockel’s cuts were elegant as always, flowing, rarely tight-fitting. For a collection that should stand for more feminine energy, there were surprisingly few trousers in it. Colors were dominated by white, blue and pink at the beginning, later on by yellow and green. While rabbit and mushroom prints, tiny as well as oversized bags and the models’ twisted hair at the beginning of the show created a Wonderland motive in your head, it got a little lost later on. A solid presentation, maybe a little overambitious.
