Review: Kilian Kerner’s KxxK @ MBFW Berlin (S/S 2020)

Prints and colors played a huge role in Kilian Kerner’s new collection, pink and yellow dominated, black and white were also broadly represented. The outfits’ prints were inspired by ice cream varieties, a follow-up to Kerner’s recent collaboration with Häagen Dazs. Therefore, some pieces were quite littered with psychedelic prints, others stayed black and white, some monochrome. Most cuts were quite simple and plain. Shirt collars flashed out under some dresses, some waistbands reminded you of a shirt collar. In combination with the strict make-up, some pieces looked business-like, others rather cool and sporty while materials were mainly dominated by silk satin, organza or light knit.
